Senior Business System Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst with experience in modern data platforms, especially Databricks, to act as the bridge between business and the Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, defining functional specifications, and ensuring the correct implementation of data solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; run workshops with business and IT stakeholders; translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications; identify the impact of changes on existing processes and systems; define business rules, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Data & Databricks: Collaborate with Data Engineers on the design and development of data flows in Databricks; analyze data sources, mappings, and data transformations; participate in defining data models and the information architecture; understand and document ETL/ELT processes built in Databricks; contribute to defining data quality rules and operational controls; ensure data traceability from source to reporting.
• Testing and Validation: Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria; participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing); validate implementation results together with stakeholders; investigate defects and analyze their root causes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business System Analyst.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data & Analytics projects.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Solid SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of key concepts: Data Lake, Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT, Delta Lake, Data Governance, Data Quality.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Jira, and Confluence; Azure Data Factory and Power BI / Qlik / Tableau are a plus.
• Analysis skills: business process modeling, data mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis, functional specifications, and user stories.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the banking or financial sector.
• Knowledge of Retail or Corporate banking products.
• Experience with Python or PySpark.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Products.
• Agile, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Databricks Fundamentals certifications.
