B2B collaboration invoiced through a legally registered entity (PFA/SRL) is required.

A senior QA Automation Engineer role on a banking Payments & Settlement Services squad, focused on reporting and billing for legal-entity clients. This is a hybrid role in Bucharest (1 day/week mandatory on-site at the client office), B2B.

Project — Reporting & Billing

Squad expertise in general banking services with focus on reporting and fees for legal entities. Main products span customized reporting for utility clients, standard bank statements, transactional fees of payments, recurrent fees (current account administration, electronic banking) and recurrent transactions for offices.

Process stages: CV review and selection → Technical interview → HR interview.

Role Details

Own Quality Assurance activities for the services developed and maintained within the squad
Involvement in all project stages; collaborate closely with the squad to clarify requirements and build the test plan
Design accurate, high-coverage test scenarios and communicate estimated effort and delivery plan to stakeholders
Test execution, test automation framework development and maintenance, extending automation coverage
Defect management and quality assessment reporting

Your day to day

Plan, write, execute and refactor manual and automated test cases
Test and certify features for release
Conduct root-cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion
Regression testing with Cucumber using Selenium / Playwright / Rest-Assured / Kafka / MQ with Java and Spring, plus manual testing
Conduct peer reviews for tests, test cases and automation scripts
Write automated tests with Java
Research, recommend and implement tools to increase automation
Maintain robust documentation of all test cases and results

What you bring

5+ years of QA experience
API and Web testing experience
Applied experience with inter-service communication mechanisms (message queue, event streaming, HTTP/HTTPS)
Troubleshooting and logs investigation experience
Test case design and test management skills
Understanding of OOP concepts
Very good communication, team player, self-driven

Working Model

Hybrid — Bucharest, 1 day/week mandatory on-site at the ING office. B2B contract.
