.NET Development Engineer — Finance (Banking)
Build in-house Finance applications for a leading bank — C#/.NET 8, ASP.NET Core, SQL/Oracle, Azure DevOps. Hybrid Bucharest 1 day/week, B2B.
🇷🇴 This position is open to candidates based in Romania only, with fiscal residency there.
B2B collaboration invoiced through a legally registered entity (PFA/SRL) is required.

Join the Finance Strategy initiative of a leading bank in Romania — modernizing and simplifying the Finance application landscape. The team builds and maintains in-house applications supporting financial reporting, regulatory compliance, data management, reconciliations and internal controls.

Mission
Design, build and evolve in-house applications that support Finance processes. You will work end-to-end, from solution design to production deployment, in a highly collaborative Agile team where technology directly impacts financial reporting, regulatory compliance and strategic transformation.
Technology Stack
- C# / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework
- SQL Server and Oracle
- Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Power BI (integration and reporting)
- REST APIs, monitoring & observability tools
- Agile & Scrum, security and compliance by design
Your Day to Day
- Design, develop and maintain in-house Finance applications
- Build scalable and secure backend services using .NET technologies
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Finance stakeholders
- Participate in solution design and architecture discussions
- Develop and optimize SQL databases and queries
- Implement and maintain APIs and system integrations
- Code reviews, engineering best practices, root cause analysis
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Must Have
- 7+ years experience in .NET development
- Strong knowledge of C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+
- Experience with ASP.NET Core and REST APIs
- Solid SQL and Oracle knowledge
- Experience with Entity Framework
- Git version control experience
- Good understanding of software design principles and patterns
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- CI/CD pipeline knowledge
- Curiosity and willingness to understand Finance business processes
Nice to Have
- Azure cloud / Azure DevOps experience
- Power BI integrations
- Experience in Finance, Accounting or Regulatory Reporting domains
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Microservices architecture experience
